NBC4 Southern California and their anchor, Colleen Williams, have been supporting Casa Treatment Center for more than twenty years through our annual charity golf tournament. Their support has been instrumental in enabling Casa to hire additional clinical staff, develop new programs and improve the quality of care we provide to women seeking recovery.
Casa is just one of many organizations that NBC4 Southern California and anchor, Colleen Williams support each year. Colleen is an award-winning journalist and the recipient of numerous industry honors, including multiple Golden Mike and Emmy Awards.
“Funding deserving organizations like Casa means more social services are available to improve the lives of many women battling addiction in the San Gabriel Valley,” said Steve Carlston, President and General Manager, NBC4 Southern California. “For more than two decades, Colleen Williams has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the cause and has stood behind the station’s commitment to give back to those in need. With the help of her husband, Jon, together they helped create a golf tournament that goes beyond playing the sport—it’s about coming together with a steadfast purpose to raise awareness for an important issue. And for that, I couldn’t be more proud of NBC4 and Casa.”
In recent years, Casa has been transitioning from a Social Model to an Integrated Continuum of Care. We have added a Medical Director, Director of Clinical Services, Program Technician and Alumna Coordinator. We have
also expanded our Alumna (STARS), Family and AfterCare programs added a Scholarship Program, Trauma Therapy and Dual Diagnosis groups, and free individual and couple’s counseling. These changes were possible
because of the support of NBC4, Colleen Williams and other community leaders.
Since its inception, the NBC4 Southern California’s Colleen Williams Annual Charity Golf Tournament has raised more than $1.5 million to support women seeking recovery. On June 18, 2018, Casa, NBC4 Southern California and Colleen Williams will come together for our annual charity golf tournament to support women in recovery. We hope we see you there!
