Maribell is a graduate of Pacific Oaks College, where she earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Her journey at Casa Treatment Center began as a Chemical Dependency Counselor in 2012, providing help and support to those in need. Maribell believes in honoring each individual experience, while simultaneously working to restore hope that is often lost. “I can’t force a person to believe, what I believe. I need to honor their truth and meet them where they are.”
She understands the stigmas that exist when addressing substance and mental health support; ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, patience, collaboration, and respect are at the forefront of her beliefs in what makes treatment work. She has worked with children, families, and couples, and has been trained in Intimate Partner Violence and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Maribell’s goal is to provide a nurturing, and supportive environment in which to heal. Her multi modal approach include understanding the family systems, and co-occurring disorders. She is committed, compassionate, and is willing to walk alongside those in need.
